I think the ideology of the U.S. is pretty fucked. They say they founded a country on a right to free speech. Everything device that has been invented since that could possibly facilitate free speech has been regulated with exception to the internet. I think copy right law is a joke. To be perfectly honest, i feel it was created only to make an industry out of something that isn't an industry.

I do agree with Tiresias. The monetary economy is out of date. I think the only real reason it still exists is because the rich elite cry socialism when money goes to the poor. Those same people don't cry socialism when the government hands a bailout to there company.

It's also still there because most of the rest of us understandably have no idea how money actually functions -- it's this mythology we all agree to and don't question, and in many ways it does work well. But the system's been growing and getting more and more complicated for thousands of years, especially since somebody invented the concept of interest. It's 13th century programming gone way out of control!

I've been reading a lot about money lately and about totally practical ways to transition out of the system we have now. They're really quite feasible for most people, but holy hell, I cannot see this being a peaceful revolution once the rich elites catch wind.

The members of the SOPA Kingdom are almost all completely not fluent in the internet. They're on the special committee.

(say SOPA Kingdom fast)

Sorry....just to add to my eairly point because i find it so baffling...During the republican primary, they keep throwing out the word 'socialism' like it's this perverted ideology.

First off...How the fuck making sure people can all EAT a fucking perverse ideology?

Second....This is the 21st fucking century. We are in the god damn future and we still are shit crazy about this shit. I mean we are teleporting beams of light across rooms, we are looking at planets across the universe and what have you....Anne hathaway makes more than a doctor! I might be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure Anne Hathaway is horse. We value the guy who fucking treats us for cancer worse than fucking horse ladies who make shitty movies we could all wait to see when it plays on TBS.

That's cool, but check out this photo of her at Occupy Wall Street:

I'm actually far more okay with actors making lots of money than investment bankers. At least actors get much of their money because so many people willingly go to see their movies, and many of them are actively socially progressive. I mean, obviously there's still the issue of the world being saturated with advertising saying to go see just a few particular movies, but still no one is forcing anyone to go. US bankers, on the other hand, have committed systematic criminal acts for which they aren't being prosecuted.

I don't think it should even be based on gold, which is just some shiny stuff that has a useful technological application. Money ought to be backed by clean air, clean water, old-growth forests still standing, oil still in the ground, diverse ecosystems left untarnished -- all of which we need in order to keep living.

See I hate that lazy bum actors have such a political pull. I've heard people base their political beliefs on what they've heard Eddie Izzard say. WHAT? That cake that earns millions a year and lectures the government on the poor. Who supports the Brown-Labour government. Comedian, yeah he's alright. Political thought he fails. Same with the Film Actors Guild in (team) America.

Tiresias, I don't think it necessarily should be based on Gold and Silver however I do think it should be based on a standard as opposed to fiat currency. Plus gold is just so inert!
