Sure the odd bite and growl may be given to try to get them to understand the way the pack works but there has to be an ultimate end. To think we are higher than animals is a vain conceit.


I think the argument only dissects a very superficial view of humanity. If you get caught up in categorization, i can see the human animal argument play out, but categorization is a method of convince. I think if we were to play spot the difference with a human a chimp and a dog, we would see a variation in culture, ritual and comprehension in all three species.

I believe their is room for nuance in understanding anything and while i agree that a contrived elevation of humanity is foolish, i don't think our culture can be fit neatly in a 'pack' mentality without ignoring the significant differences of our own species.

I disagree. I think working and making a living should most definately be possible for those on parole. Becoming a productive member of society is very important to making a new start.
