Some people take longer to wake up. A little crankiness is to be expected.Unless someone outright attacks you unprovoked, relax. To us non-morning people, way-too-cheery people chirping in our faces while we're still trying to detach from sleep mode is obnoxious. Now, if you don't know me, it's fair that you don't know that. But if you already know someone isn't a morning person, why insist that they become one? Why not just give them some time to wake up?

I have such a hard time relating, even fathoming how they could be the way they are, that I start secretly accusing perfectly nice (often VERY nice) people of being fake and conniving.

That's kinda messed up, I know.


I think my morning person description is pretty accurate cause there was a time when I think I hated uh...everything? Including the morning? And I've had a problem in general hating people simply for seeming happy, at any time of the day anyway. I agree 100%, not even just during mornings, but all the time, that excessively chipper and happy people become deemed fake and more importantly, addedly manipulative. Mostly cause I'm actually pretty nice, I hate to be out niced? I mean really, how can you out nice me, why why would you, if you were truely nice, out nice the person who eats nice deeds like a fat kid eats cake. It's all I've got sometimes, man! So I feel they must be trying to take something of the little nothing I have from me and watch them. I don't feel good about this, because I'm sure that's why a lot of people hate me in general, I'm nice, and they are leering of it. So it's pretty hypocritical of myself, and yet, bluntly realized.

LemonDaisy, the best I figured to do with non-morning people, I guess NON-AMers... was just be quiet. Especially the coffee shop, cause some people were there to wake up, and there day was worsened (as was my tip) if I just added to the list of reasons why they did hate morning in the first place "Ugh, that loud, fake barista in the morning, did the espresso stop working and she started smoking crack?!" That gets little tips. So I just try and feel people out, I don't seek to go pull the covers off of Non-am'ers and open the curtains, burning retina and nerves. But there are these people, a theme in my life, that are agressive non morning people, and I try not to piss them off. Which is very hard, because simply being awake at an hour before noon, is like... annoying... to them. Like breathing loudly is annoying to me.

Click for profile 		I'm now a neutral "AM-er". I used to hate it...then for obvious reasons...i got used to it.....and now I function, smile and get on with the day. But I dont force other people to do it, because I hate that "omg im happy and up so you must be tooo" person...well pretty much the person Ali has already described.

I also totally relate with you, Ali, on the "out nicing" someone.....

Blegh....now, mid morning and early afternoon...my brain just stops working.

I have found actually, that if I start my day by sitting on the computer (e.g. checking emails whilst sprog eats breakfast) then I end up in a foul mood....wonder why that is?
