South Park
The Human Centipede

Or saying:

Fuck, twat, slag, "shut your mouth or ill shut it for you" etc....

Harsh but it's what I'd think. The child doesn't have proper boundaries. It should not be watching the south park or post season 3 family guy except as part of learning how to lie and decieve. No one should watch Human Centipede. A parental issue.

My 11 year old cousin watches Family Guy, but it's never really impacted her in any way. I wouldn't say it's the best choice for her to watch, but it's not really her fault when someone else has the TV and is irresponsible enough to let her sit and watch.

As for Human Centipede and South Park.. I think I'd let them hit 13 first. I didn't find Human Centipede that disturbing really. I think it was too hyped up, got me excited.. and I was disappointed.

Uh yeah, off track.

11 year olds should not watch it.

I used to watch SP when i was roughly 11, didnt bother me none. HC is more of a psychological thriller with shock value, and can have lasting impressions for the kid..

Family Guy and South Park aren't appropriate for an 11 year old. I mean it won't scar them or anything, but I don't think it's a necessary exposure.

As for swearing, some 11 year olds swear all the time when talking to each other because it makes them feel really cool. Now, I would be worried if they swore in fron tof me and other authority figures.

Click for profile 		I remember watching the first series of family guy at 1900ish on Sky One. It was a family show like the simpsons but fresh and funny for the first two seasons.

Click for profile 		No in fairness, well, sort of as she knows that I can see everything that is being said. Its jsut the way they communicate. Like one girl is absoloutley horrible. And then the one I'm closest too keeps refferring to some girl as "that slag".

I'm with Anjali on swearing. I'd also be upset if they weren't at least creative with it around their friends. If he's saying "fuck" every other word just to say it around his friends, he'll get a talking to. Actually using it with some meaning behind it when appropriate? K, just don't say it to someone important.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. I used to get annoyed when I was little when people swore without using the words correctly. Once a nerd, always a anerd?

Click for profile 		I've never heard anyone swear incorrectly, but I get annoyed at people who just...don't swear right. Use a word too much, and it's weak; use a word at just the right time when there's a shock factor to it, and congrats kid, you've learned to communicate effectively.

But if they get creative with it on top of having good timing, well, I'm just proud. Eventually they'll learn word combinations that don't even need to be vulgar to be rude.
