My ex just texted me and said he was at Starbucks and saw a woman literally get run over by an SUV. The back tire was sitting on top of her. They took her away in an ambulance... I hope she is okay. That would be a horrible thing to witness. And it makes me wonder how the hell something like that happens?

Click for profile 		That's horrible... I basically witnessed the same thing happening to my first dog when I was 7, also with an SUV. At least the tires just rolled over him and he died pretty quickly afterward. And how does stuff like that happen? Cars are just really, really fast and powerful, especially SUVs.

Click for profile 		On Friday I went to a bar in New York that I had researched, seemed like fun and had pretty much nothing but positive reviews regarding clientele, music and service.
I got inside and immediately liked the music and saw many an attractive male.


Because it was a gay bar. Which was left out of all of the descriptions. Luckily I figured this out before trying to chat someone up.
It was also the day that gay marriage was legalised in New York state, so the place was bumpon. A good time was had by all.

Click for profile 		I might have found my own apartment! viewing tomorrow! It is a lot closer to my boyfriend's (like a 10 minute bus ride instead of hour and a half :\).Annnd my co-work lives close to that area and she said anytime we worked together she would drive me Very Happy. FOR FREE (I would give her gas money though...) . It is near a major bus terminal, and grocery store,etc. I do not want to get my hopes up but I am super excited.

We just had our second round of tenants sign a lease. They move in Aug 1st. The girl renting the apartment now is such a sweety and I will miss her and her cute dog. But she is moving in with her boyfriend [who also happens to be my cousin] so its not like I will never see them again.

I just hope the new tenants are as awesome as she is. I can't complain though, we are going to be upping the rent by $175 so I can deal with slightly less awesomeness.

Also! I am pissed! I have been spoken to about my "children" three times in the last two weeks. People keep assuming I am a mother and not in a comfortable way. It all sounds tinged with sympathy. All I can think is I look haggard and old and obviously like a housewife these days. I need to get back to my fabulousness. I blame it on this town. It turns people ugly.

Click for profile 		goddamnit. Who shows up at your house at 6.20, talks to your neighbour, then leaves at 6.28 -- you're supposed to meet at 6.30 -- sending you an email asking where are you? I was supposed to make dinner. I got home at 6.33 and texted, called, emailed right away. No response until 45 minutes later (he lives 15 minutes away). He's at home and doesn't feel like coming back. I haven't seen this friend in 6 months and he doesn't even live that far away. Whatever, I don't take this stuff personally anymore, but this scenario just boggles my mind.
