So I grew my hair, and both hair cuts I've had in the past 2 years I have hated. The first one was awful, the second was a bob.

This was with 2 months of growing out. I hate it.

Previously my hair had been like this:



The hillbilly look wasn't doing much for me (by the way that's at RATM in Finsbury Park) Though I had good layering. Anyway my hair is getting to my shoulders again and it's time to think about how I'm going to have it cut. Seeing as the last two times have been horrific I figured some pictures for the hairdresser in february time might be an idea.

So I quite liked my hair 18 months ago:





and looking at James Hetfield as he has had every haircut going quite like 2004 Hetfield.

Or I could go back to this shite!


Whadya suggest? Any better haircuts I should have?

Click for profile 		I had the short one for close to a quarter of a century. I like to call it the 'norn iron special' as growing up Irish Protestant that was the only acceptable hair cut. Then on being of an age where I could resist my mother I worked in a bakery where it made sense to have the shorter hair. I don't really want to go back to it.

Click for profile 		Yeah I like the 18 months as well. Only because the longer middle parted look is just a little too kid rock on you. Also some hair looks better I think than the buzz, it does not seem like "you" with it so short.

Click for profile 		I've got a friend who always has a buzz cut but who I know looks so much better with even just a *little* bit longer hair than that. Is there a way I can suggest to him that he take a little bit more time in between haircuts or is that just a totally stupid, douchy thing to say uninvited? I mean, he'll be my friend no matter what. Just an idle, superficial thought...

Plant a seed instead. "have you always had a buzz cut?" or "have you ever considered"

It's the medium hair bit that was a nightmare to deal with.
