So I've been reading Sushi for Beginners, and it isn't very good for me trying to not read chick lit anymore. But it's enjoyable. And green.

why? because my brother bought it (read: wasted money), I've got nothing better to do, and it's not that far off. I graduate in a year and a half and I've finished half my 30 level courses, anyways. So screw off, old fart, the new semester's just begun and I've got nothing to do because no homework's been assigned yet. And we're a family of fanatical preparing people, AND some thingey guide said people SHOULD BE PLANNING THEIR FUTURE WHEN THEY'RE IN FOURTH GRADE SO HAHAHAHAHA I'M PLANNING

...except I'm not. I'm bored

I'm currently between books.. *tear*
actually, today I'm going on a mission to find the feminist library on campus, and then I'm going to pick up some Maya Angelou and maybe Memoirs of a Geisha, or Jane Eyre. Or maybe all of them; Reading Week is just around the corner, and I only have three midterms directly afterwards... lol

Jane Eyre is my worst enemy

The only good thing about it (SPOILER) was the random twist with Bertha living in the attic. It was so completely messed up and out of context with the prim and properness of the rest of it. I CANNOT stand Charlotte Bronte's style of writing. It's so tedious, full of unneccesary words, and downright boring. It's just so Victorian, and I hate that style

and, besides the bertha in the attic, nothing actually interesting happened in it.
Boring old tedious romance novel about an orphan. How original

my teacher always got on me about how I'm some anti-feminest creature because I despise Jane Eyre, but I don't despise it because it has an independant female protagonist, for a change, I despise it because it's terrible literature.

'm going to pick up some Maya Angelou

Her autobiographies, if you haven't already read them, are quite the read. I've read the first two volumes (I Know Why... and Gather Together...) and just bought the 3rd volume a few weeks ago (I'm collecting them in their classic covers, though there's now an edition that has all the volumes bound together)

Anyway obviously she's a beautiful writer, but her life has been filled with drama. Very interesting stuff.

"Doing it." Totally just added to my book collection. Reminded me of a teenage, male version of "Desperate Housewives." *nods* I bought it today, and it's done already. Christ ._.

Inactive that sucks. I'm forever losing things. Lost in the sense that i can't find it when i need it. The item always appears when i least expect it, so there you go.

Yeah so i read some of junky last night. It's a really good book. I'd reccommend it to anyone.

Oh they're just the editions that have been around forever. Nothing special. It only matters to me because I like to have matched sets of things.

Now reading Cosa Nostra: A History of the Sicilian Mafia, just finished reading Trainspotting - definitely worth reading especially if you've seen the film.
