I fucking hated high school, it was fun but i was so over what they had to tell me. The only way to get by is to drop out and get your GED IMMEDIATELY. However, i think the general rule in the US is that you have to be 16 to drop out, and thats with parental permission. Every school professes the same bullshit, and the truth is yes, you have to go, to be a generally functional individual in society. The truth is no, you dont have to go to college, but its a fuck a of a lot more fun than working full time. Also, when I was 15, money was a totally different thing. The world is an expensive place. Hitchhiking is not safe, and its hard to make enough money to live and travel without a higher education.

Click for profile 		I would really advise you to stay in school. I went to school on an american military base, where my step dad worked. To go to that school you have to live with your parents, but my parents kicked me out so the school did as well, at the beggining of my junior year. At first it was great. I didn't have to get up early to go to school. My days were completely free. But now it is one of the biggest regrets in my life. No where wants to hire me to work as I have no qualifications. All my friends are graduating this year, but I'm not. I'll miss prom. So please, don't throw your life away by leaving school. I know that it';s crap, and that it's boring, and that life without it seems so much better. But just put up with it for a few more years and your life will be so much better than if you had dropped out.

Untrue. I didn't technically drop out either..Haha..I got kicked out for truancy! But no I thought it was a horrible idea...I just thought being on the streets and using money to go to and from school everyday just so I could fail was a worse idea.

I personally would not but if its what you want and later down the road you find that it wasnt the best thing for you, you can always go back to school. But considering how well I know you...my input wont help you one bit cuz youll do what you want anyways. My bf dropped out of school and he has been miserable ever since (cuz he has no friends or life) and it just pisses me off cuz he whines to me about it so if dropping out is your choice just dont bitch at other people for your choices cuz you wont have many friends left after a while k? love ya!! Click for profile 		Nobody should be giving you a hard time about this, because they don't know you're personal situation.

I dropped out. I was in advanced classes and doing well but unfortunatley I have some really bad immune system problems due to some illnesses I have. Well I missed tons of school as a result. I was on a program where, by law, they had to let me make up my work, etc. But my school didn't comply at all and I had to drop out. I missed so much school there was no point in transferring plus the other schools were the same. I'm going to get my GED as soon as possible. This is a great thing for me. I was hating it at school so incredibly much. I had constant panic attacks and was super stressed. Now I have time to educate myself in different ways and I have more time for my artwork.
