Click for profile 		and they REALLY go all out for the basketball and football provincials. from the semi-finals up, the football provincials are played at BC place in downtown vancouver, and there are usually large crowds of people from the schools.

the basketball provincials are at the stadium in kelowna or kamloops, i think. i've never been to those, because it is in kelowna or kamloops. /obvious

i kinda understand the fury. for soccer, we were triple A, which is 200+ girls 9-12... but we were the smallest school in our section by 200 people. we were only 7 girls over the limit. but, if we played double A, we'd go to states evry year and prob win. our old rival school is double A and they go to states and we beat them by like 5 everytime we played them.

Click for profile 		thousands turn out for the football provincials... you usually have the whole school for each team plus a lot of the teams that lose and their schools and just people who want to watch football... plus talent scouts and stuff.

it's a pretty big deal. and bc high school sports are covered in the newspapers too, like the vancouver province... a lot of people are interested.

and public schools don't do this, but private schools often send teams to overseas competitions as well, like in hawaii and in australia and stuff.
