Inactive When sum 41 first came out they were rap-punk. Good Charlotte was rap-punk while they were independent. Long list.

"The majority of bands coming out now are rap-metal, or punk-rap. "

pure rap metal is like limp, korn, linkin park, papa roach (kind of) and that's about it. neither of them have done anything of note in a while.

then there's that funk metal stuff like incubus and Redhotchili peppers but that's different.

rap punk??? how does that even WORK?

*tries to imagine*

is it, like, someone rapping, and in the background there's a three-chord kind of structure happening? and then someone screams for a while?

That song was hilarious. A post-punk band rapping about how they love rock.

you guys don't listen to a lot of hiphop, but if you do, you can hear the influence in Good Charlotte's lyrics. (hell they straight jacked some jay-z lyrics on The Anthem)

Sum 41's song fat lip, they rapped in that.

sum 41 aren't punk, though. they're a wierd hybrid rock sound that is influenced by punk and metal. they don't fit in either category.

their more garage punk sortoff

like their new album is old offspringish, it isn't exactly punk, but it isn't exactly rock or metal either
