England: 1 Sweden: 1

Nevertheless, Argentina is next up. Upon finishing that game our humiliation will most likely be complete.

We should have done better. 1st half we should have had 3 goals. 2nd half sweden could have had about 5. We played so crap. Vaselle looked excellent and Hargreaves is up and coming although he's too young to play the full 90 mins.

Onward to Argentina where we will win. Sweden will be a kick up the arse that we needed.

Click for profile 		Oh please, Tricycle. Vassel and Hargreaves were hardcore for us i'll agree. But Heskey sucked ass...as always. The defence didn't look too bad...until Mills played that blinder off of his chest. And Owen had about as much influence as a slug on salt. Gazza should of got his ass up and got down to the pitch - because his football skills are marginally better than his interviewing ones.

Click for profile 		Yeah I think Heskey's a waste of space too. As for Owen he was good towards the start. Mills is not a player i'd pick first off but yes defence was good. We have something to build on and sort our midfield out. We had the same problem in 1998 after Hoddle left when Keegan took over. No midfield and we were sunk.

Click for profile 		Murphy would of been sweetass down the right side; move Beckham into the centre alongside Scholes; then we should have Hargreaves out on the left. I still think Macca's should of been invited along. Plus, we don't actually have a naturally defensive midfielder, like Roy Keane for example (Butt is far from influential). You spend all your time worrying about the left side and you leave a freckin big gap in the middle of the pitch. Neh Sven neh!

Beckham should stay where he was. He was doing fine in the first half. Sod's law of course that we get a free kick in his position and he's just gone off.

We don't need a naturally defensive midfielder to me reckoning, Scholes however should sit behind the strikers and pass up to them rather than a flat line.

Inactive England are vastly overrated, and that's saying something. Sweden absolutely mauled them in the second half of the game: the British defence borders on the atrocious. Beckham's corner was nothing short of beautiful, however.

It amuses me that Tri's blind patriotism even induces him to declare that we'll beat Argentina. Hopefully his Southern superiority complex will crack along with England's quixotic world cup dreams when they're utterly dismantled by Argentina.

By the way, what was that German score again?
