Design Within Reach
Design Within Reach's mission is to bring modern designer furniture out of the showroom, and they succeed admirably with their website, stores, and catalog. They sell a mix of products from iconic designers such as Noguchi, Mies van der Rohe and Le Corbusier, as well as current modern designers such as Niels Bendtsen and Ted Boerner. (They also have a great selection of FLOR carpeting tiles!) A great resource if you love modern design, or if you want to learn more about it. As with most designer products, a lot of what they're selling is beautiful - and also expensive. If you can blow $400 on a lamp, or like window-shopping and then buying the Ikea knockoff, this is your place.
